Having your Own Pool
You want to go for a swim but you’re very far from the beach. You also have sanitary concerns with a shared swimming pool that may be loaded with all types of germs. But It’s a gorgeous afternoon and the sun is shining.
And so you wonder how fabulous having your private swimming pool is, for your exclusive use, and 100% under your care. You enjoy a dip anytime you want, exercise, play with your children or just lounge.
It is clear to you that a personal pool is a must have. But private swimming pools are seriously expensive specially with all the digging and labor. Furthermore, you may potentially need a bigger house with a larger yard to host the extra needed space.
Why not buy above ground swimming pools ? It offers all the advantages of classic inground swimming pools but for a fraction of the cost and time required to have it operational. This swimming pool needs no construction, no digging, no mess, no dust, no crew and you can start enjoying it in a very short period of time. Compare that to weeks and months of workers coming in and out. And as mentioned, you will end up paying far less than what you would pay for an in ground pool.
There are some important differences that you should be know:
First, you need to devise a system to (and empty) your above ground pool with water. This may be quite problematic as the volume of water can be huge.
Second, above ground swimming pools are not made of concrete but of vinyl. They must be replaced after 7-8 years. In ground swimming pools , on the other hand, last for 50 years.
Third, as the pool is above ground, kids do not risk falling accidentally in the swimming pool and drowning as sometimes happens with traditional swimming pools.
Fourth, there is no incremental increase in water depth unlike what one encounters with inground pools . This translates into more safety for children in above ground pools than with the in-ground versions.
